How LastFM manages your Library and the tracks you like?

Well it has really been an interesting journey till now and now lets see how the last fm libary works.
When I clicked on scobbles, it showed me two tracks with some feedback and the tabs there for me were library , tracks and favorites. Its really interesting that it shows you your songs and mataching friends and neighbors songs. So you can clearly see what others are similarly listening to. Here is how it looks:

How charts work and how it tracks them?

Find Music on Last.fm

Well its really easy to find music on last.fm. You can get to see music filtered by its music genre, popular, trendy, popular in your location and etc. Here is a screen shot of how it shows you music:

When I clicked on the right side music album artist that was recommended for me, I got to see the entire album and the related tags that were attached to the search.

Also it was showing similar artist on the right side.. It shows how many scrobbles are being used and how many follow/listen to this album.

This is just amazing as I dont have to worry about the singers popularity as the website has made it easy for me to view that.

My new profile view and the recent activity tracking

Hello guys, I am back with a new finding on last.fm. This time I searched for how my profile would seem and what others can understand if I show them my profile.

This shows , what songs I heard before and what did I choose while signing up. It also shows the songs I might like that are heard by my friends


Now in the below screen shot, it shows what songs I am listening how frequently.:

Searching for known and Unknown....is not that difficult..!!

Yeah this time I visited last.fm with an idea to test the search and listen functionality.
Guess what, the search functionality is just awesome. Here is the screen shot of the search results:

Then I have tried to search events for a particular artist. Here is what I found, it was asking for more specific information depending on various factors:

How do I search for music which I dont listen to but is GOOD?

Yeah, music is madness, its a drug. I love it more than anything in this world. So I want to listen to music that I dont know or heard before. So I logged into Last.fm and I wanted to see what my "friends" are listening to. See what I found:

Yes I found 3 friends on facebook. I can see that they love katy perry, jay sean and pussycat dolls. 

Very Exciting and I am impressed with the Last.fm recommendations.

Hello, I am back with more information about Last.Fm. This has amazing recommendations and I am truly satisfied with its methods.

Now, this is my third visit to Last.fm and it has started off with recommending me new music based upon my previous artist selection.

I now wanted to listen to some music. So I clicked on Listen option. Then it took me to a new page where it asked me to search for an artist to listen to their music. Below the text box, it also gave me some famous artist recommendations. "Why not try pop pank, hip hop, selena gomez".

Further, it also gave me an option to go to my neighbors libraries. Which I did and it played some music that is similar to mine but of a different genre that others with similar views as mine, listen to.

First Test On Last.Fm

This week I have visited Last.fm again and I was a new user. So it was  using my location and the most heard music data to give me some basic recommendations:
--Top music artists
--Famous events near me
--Most heard albums

Then I logged in with my gmail id. I confirmed myself. It then was asking me to click on 'get started' to take benefit from my last.fm account.
The website asked me my music taste in first step, it asked me my favorite artist. When I typed my favorite artist, it suggested me related and popular artists who were known to feat with the artist I typed in.
Then in next step, it was doing something called scrobbling that is , how I listen to music ( I used windows media player).
Then it asked me my profile pic, name , location and date of birth.
